Visiting Mozambique Island and staying the night in Nampula? Unsure of what to see or where to go? There are some great spots to visit during your stay. Don’t be misled – Nampula is a city teeming with hidden treasures. Join us as we uncover the secrets of Nampula city. In another blog I will write about the different hotels you find in Nampula.
Monte Nairuco
Just a short drive out of town on the way to Cuamba, you will find Monte Nairuco. It truly is an oase, which you don’t expect coming from the city. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and immerse yourself in the tranquility of Monte Nairucuo. This lush oasis offers breathtaking views, lake & mountain view and nice walking trails or photoshoot opportunities. There is a restaurant and you can picknick under the covered camping spots. Just be careful for the… crocodiles!

Quinta Michela
Done with the heat? Fancy a swim? Bet you do. Well again, this takes you a little bit out of town, but well worth the drive. It has an amazing swimmingpool, playground for kids, restaurant, bar and more. Definitly check it out.

Nampula Museum (Museu Nacional de Etnografia)
In the city centre, near the church on AV. Eduardo Mondlane you find the museum of Nampula. Behind the museum there is a little space where people showcase their crafts, and it has a nice bar at the back.
Monica shopping centre
Treat yourself to a bit of retail therapy at Monica Shopping. Small but cute shopping centre with boutiques offering everything from clothing and accessories and restaurants. Whether you’re on the hunt for treasures or simply enjoying a leisurely (or looking for a playground for the kids) stroll, Monica Shopping is the place. Monica Shopping is situated on Avenida 25 de Setembro.

Complexo Bamboo / Hotel bamboo
Also a nice place to catch some fresh air. Unfortunately they don’t have a website but you can find some photo’s here
